Bronze age settlement (Corent, 950-850 b.C.)
sketchfab
Near Clermont-Ferrand and facing the Gergovie site, the low-lying basalt plateau of Corent is a striking feature of the landscape that dominates the course of the Allier River and an outstanding archaeological site due to the importance of its successive human occupations from the Paleolithic period to the Middle Ages. From the final Bronze Age 2 (late 11th century BC) to the final Bronze Age 3 (9th century BC), a large settlement was brought to light in 2012 during excavations led by Pierre-Yves Milcent. The 3D model above is a restitution, carried out in collaboration with Arthur Tramon, of one of the most important buildings revealed.
