your lens/filter outer diameter of the ring in front of the aperture ring should be 69 mm(excellent) it's going to be mostly friction fitted but it also comes with an m2 screw hole to further secure it and if you try to mount this directly on the lens without the filter it would definitely make the aperture ring harder to turn but turn the ring 2-3 times and it losen up sanding and repaint is recommended for maximum effectiveness of the hood and outer finish
