Brompton GoPro mount

Brompton GoPro mount

This is a custom GoPro mount specifically designed for Brompton Bikes. It securely attaches to the two headset screws at the front of the bike, providing an extremely stable viewing perspective that is completely independent from the handlebar's steering movement. I fabricated this mount using PLA material with support and cooling features. To achieve optimal results, I set my 3D printer to a PEI bed temperature of 70C, a hotend temperature of 225C, and a base speed of 30mm/s. By combining high temperatures with slow speeds, the layer adhesion is significantly improved. Before printing, I used an X-Acto knife to refine the design, paying particular attention to the hexagonal captive nut cavity. This extra step ensures a smooth, precise finish. While ABS material may provide enhanced heat and sun resistance, I opted for PLA due to its ease of use. However, if you're looking for improved heat tolerance, consider using a light-colored PLA filament that absorbs less heat. If you need to modify the dimensions of this mount, feel free to load the OpenScad file and adjust the parameters as needed. You can then generate your own STL file with the desired specifications. If there's enough demand for customized dimensions, I may be able to export them here as customizable parameters.
