Edits 23 April 2022: I’ve ridden with the two-strap version of the bottom, and so far it’s fine for my water bottle. More delicate cups might need more straps. So I think this one is done. :) — Edits 9 April 2022: Losing the bottom made the design too simple. The cup slid down after not a lot of riding. I also didn't like the size of the buckle and straps. I found my replaced bike helmet provided the smaller straps and buckles I wanted. The helmet straps are .5 inch, and the whole thing is visually lighter. The bracket must have been in the previous designer's work, so I had to make my own. I also modified the design by adding a buckle to the strap, and eventually losing the bottom and related straps for an even more simple final design. So far it works well on both my water/coffee bottle (pictured) and also a coffee cup from a coffee shop (with a spill sticker/stick in the opening).
