Most Bromptons come equipped with fenders, both left and right. For the adventurous types who want to convert their bikes into E models without fenders or racks, a cable fender disc is necessary to prevent cables from rubbing against wheels and tires. After an unsuccessful online search for a Brompton Fender Cable Disc STL file, I decided to create one myself instead of purchasing it online. Brompton's UK origins suggest basing the design on the Union Jack flag. The 5mm diameter hole with a 6mm depth, including the round extension reaching the fork eyelet, provides the foundation for the design. Measuring the fork eyelet revealed it to be slightly under 14mm in size. Adding the disc and eyelet results in an overall length of approximately 19mm+. A ~25mm M5 bolt should suffice for securing the setup. Please note that these dimensions are estimates, and actual values may vary.
