'Broken' USB cable flash drive housing - Larger
thingiverse
This is a minor adaptation of Intentional3D's USB cable flash drive that I enlarged and extended to accommodate my fatter USB from a budget $2 store figurine. I'm quite pleased with it, but envisioned an even larger version could be beneficial for users with slightly bigger thumb drives who don't want to invest time sculpting out the interior of their 3D prints. Instructions Step 1: Print it out! No support is needed, just print and you're good (print upright, small end facing upwards). Step 2: Unplug an iPod or another USB cable, save one end neat and fraying the other end will do. Step 3: Add a tiny bit of glue for the cable and I also applied some glue to the USB - this is only necessary if it doesn't fit securely. Step 4: Enjoy your creation.
