"Broken Printer" creative writing project

This is a digital artifact for creative writing that I designed using TinkerCad, an online 3D modeling software. The print not only showcases my artistic vision but also serves as a grueling test for 3D printers, pushing them to their limits with overhangs, bridging, and embossed text. This design reflects the narrative of the poem "Broken Printer", where the printer is subjected to extreme stress but ultimately succeeds in producing a successful print. The image I created captures the exact moment when the printer crashes to the floor while printing, making it a dramatic representation of the scene. The most challenging part was selecting the right lines to feature on the piece; I chose two that perfectly encapsulate the story: one describing the printer's chaotic fall and the other being the poem's final line. These lines not only describe the events but also convey the hope and resilience that emerge in the end, much like the print's ability to withstand extreme torture testing. In addition to this design, I have another version with a more cartoonish tone (visible in photos), which is part of my line of 3D printer characters. This version seemed fitting for the poem's lighthearted and whimsical nature, offering a humorous take on what could otherwise be a somber tale.
