Broken Lightsaber - The Last Jedi
thingiverse
As seen in The Last Jedi, Anakin's lightsaber has been brutally shattered into two distinct halves. This design is meticulously crafted from footage taken directly from the movie. If you've previously printed "Anakin Skywalker's Lightsaber" by CaseStudyno8 or my remix of that design, then you can easily print this and simply replace the midsection (Graflex clamp) to give the hilt a broken-in-half look. I highly recommend printing with the jagged/broken pieces facing upwards. The two pieces of broken kyber crystal should then seamlessly fit into their respective holes. UPDATE 5/26/2019 After months of anticipation, I finally got around to printing this design and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. It's not a precise replication of the damage done to the lightsaber, but it captures the essence of the concept perfectly. I'm still brainstorming ways to add some internal components around the crystal pieces to give it a more technological appearance. I printed the crystal pieces using blue glow-in-the-dark PLA and the effect is simply stunning. I hope you all enjoy this design and don't hesitate to share your pictures if you decide to print it!
