Broke Light Bulb Extractor
thingiverse
I designed this attachment for my painters stick to safely remove floodlights from corners of my home that had become detached at their sockets, which are too high for me to reach with a ladder. I printed it on the lowest setting, unsure if it would work initially, but it proved to be highly effective. There's a central hole in the tool, allowing the glass stem inside the broken plug to pass through without obstructing its entry into the metal base. The opposite end is threaded with Acme threads, making it compatible with standard broom or painters sticks. Here's how it works: as you insert the tool into the broken socket, the angled threads dig deeper into the metal base when you turn it counterclockwise to loosen and remove it from the socket.
