Brobot - Custom Cover Pieces for MyBuild Frame

Brobot - Custom Cover Pieces for MyBuild Frame

thingiverse

I started building a Bot frame and quickly realized that no cover pieces were provided, so I took on the task of designing my own. If you want to modify or remix the project, source files are available. This project was a true challenge, taking an enormous amount of time - over 200 hours of printing, with only one and a quarter of what was supposed to be two printed. My cover pieces for each bot take around 50 hours. If the hands appear broken, it's because they got into a fight with Megatron and broke their wrists. The original base frame design for the wrists is overly complicated, and I ran out of time to reprint those parts. The base Frame is not included in this project, but it can be found on Hero: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:445392 (I have no affiliation with them). You can still access the original link using the Wayback Machine if you encounter a dead link. For a Duplicator I3 carriage upgrade, visit rapidlyprototyping.etsy.com. In retrospect, I should have combined several pieces before printing to save time - for example, the upper leg is made up of 8 individual pieces that could have been merged into one print job.
