British QF 25PR Artillery
thingiverse
28mm (1/56 scale) QF 25PR artillery gun stands tall. You can see from the printed model how it differs dramatically from its source design, with striking contrasts that reveal its true form compared to 28mm infantry on the battlefield. The model is cleverly split into three distinct pieces to make removal of the support structure a breeze and allow for smoother printing of the gun shield. Note how the gun and carriage are angled in perfect harmony to ensure the gunshield prints vertically, simplifying supports and minimizing complexity. Two sturdy struts from the center of the turntable perfectly align with the inside edge of the bracket under the center of the gun carriage tail. After printing, assemble by gluing the gun firmly onto the axle and let it dry completely. Then, glue the two braces in place, one end next to the center of the turntable and the other end securely attached to the underside of the gun carriage in front of the crossplate, right in the middle of the frame.
