British KV-1 6in
thingiverse
GUESS WHO'S BACK! After a long long break, I return with some more silly what-if tanks. This time with part 1/2 of the British-Soviet tanks. I watched the Mark Felton Productions video on the topic (I do recommend watching) and thought it would be fun to model a British KV-1 and T-34. To summarize the video in the simplest way possible, the British considered domestically producing the Soviet KV-1 and T-34 with some domestic modifications. This one is the KV-1. The British domesticated version was planned to house the 152mm 6 inch CWT howitzer (Pretty much a more cursed british version of the KV-2). The width needed to be cut down to fit the standard for British railway transportation. The British also required that the radio be placed near the commander (hence that extension that replaced the rear mg in the back of the turret). I will admit that I may have accidentally used the 1941 model of the KV-1 instead of the one pictured in the image but to be fair, I like the blocky KV turret better myself.I do hope you enjoy this 1-100 scale model, I had fun modeling it! If there is any issues, concerns, suggestions, or comments please leave them in the comments and I'll try my best to get back to them. Thank you!
