British Army Osprey 4 & Virtus front and back armor plate
thingiverse
Hi there, I recently acquired an Osprey 4 armor carrier and found it challenging to find a plate that fits perfectly. The standard plates available are far from suitable for my needs, which is why I decided to create this custom model for war-game use. This non-accurate model of the front and back armor plate is based on two pictures of the real plate I found online. Since these images were taken at different angles, there may be distortions or mistakes due to the measuring or lighting conditions. Additionally, as seen in the actual picture of the training plate in orange, the real plate has multiple curves that make it difficult to replicate accurately. Unfortunately, my skills are not advanced enough to capture these complexities, so the shape of this model is not entirely accurate. I haven't printed this design yet, as I'm working to improve its accuracy. If you have access to a real Osprey 4 armor plate and can create a 3D scan or modify my file using your expertise in 3D modeling, that would be greatly appreciated. The side plates measure 21cm x 16cm, and I've created a prototype using Eva foam for ease of use. This solution is ideal for war-game purposes, as it's simpler to work with than the original plate. Please note that this design needs to be cut before printing, as it exceeds the size limit of most printers.
