British .303 Round

British .303 Round

thingiverse

I'm creating an accurate replica of a British .303 round for my buddy who loves historical reenactments. Apparently, these cartridges were originally designed as filler rounds for pouches in his period-accurate uniform. A standard .303 British cartridge consists of a brass case with a rim diameter of 0.312 inches and a maximum overall length of 2.046 inches. The bullet itself is made of lead and weighs approximately 174 grains, with a diameter of 0.311 inches. When fired from a Lee-Enfield rifle, the .303 British cartridge can reach speeds of up to 2,440 feet per second and travel distances of over 1 mile before hitting its target.
