I recently encountered a frustrating issue with the ball joint on my tractor's rearview mirror, which suddenly gave way after making contact with some tree branches while navigating through a dense forest area. Frustrated by the setback, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a replacement part using 3D printing technology. I started by designing the new component, carefully taking into account its dimensions and functionality to ensure seamless integration with the existing mirror assembly. Once satisfied with the design, I proceeded to print it out using PETG filament, which offers excellent durability and resistance to impact. After the printing process was complete, I lightly sanded the surface of the part to remove any imperfections or layer lines that might compromise its performance. The result is a beautifully crafted replacement ball joint that not only fits perfectly but also functions flawlessly, providing me with an uninterrupted view while driving my tractor through challenging terrain.
