Brita Handle Support
thingiverse
I've had the Brita water pitcher for several months now, my first experience with one. Unfortunately, the handle broke off at the jug right from the start. Initially, I thought I'd just buy a new one since it wasn't too pricey. This version from Costco in Canada has an auto-fill top that doesn't seem to be available anywhere else. When I read the reviews on the Costco website, I found many buyers complaining about the broken handle. Other Brita jug handles have support at the bottom of the handle but many reviewers complained about the lid falling off during refilling. At that point, I decided to try printing a support. It took several attempts to get the correct arc for the inside of the handle and angle for the portion attached to the jug. I used Dollarama 5-minute epoxy to attach the support and repair the crack at the top of the jug.
