Here's a simple solution to the problem of my Brita flap always getting stuck closed. I came up with a counterweight that opens the filter automatically when pouring water, saving me time and hassle. To print this design, simply flip it upside-down to minimize the number of supports needed. A small amount of hot glue applied to the Brita will secure the counterweight in place, making it easy to remove if necessary.
