The Bristol Mercury is a robust, nine-cylinder, air-cooled radial engine built to last. Specifically designed by the talented Roy Fedden at the Bristol Aeroplane Company, this incredible engine was the powerhouse behind numerous civil and military aircraft in both the 1930s and 1940s. Initially conceived as an evolution of the Jupiter engine, the later variants were truly remarkable, pumping out a whopping 800 horsepower (600kW) from its impressive 1,500 cubic inches (25L) of capacity thanks to a state-of-the-art geared supercharger.
