I designed an experiment in the form of a Brio compatible roller coaster, testing the potential of a 3D printed truss without relying on support structures. The design leverages the inherent strength of a truss, despite requiring more material to maintain a consistent 45° angle throughout. The roller coaster was printed using ABS, but I anticipate it would also be feasible with PLA.
