Brio and Ikea Male Connector
thingiverse
After 3D printing the Brio train track by fedt-mand https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3504869 for my son's train set I thought I could make it out of plywood, which is much faster. I did a rough sketch but during laser cutting I made changes on the fly so the round male ends aren't perfect circles. They were crude adjustments but work for Brio and Ikea train sets. I had to tweak it a little more to fit a 3D printing ramp so the ends are smaller than normal. You will need to cut 3 each of the larger connectors, 1 ea of the smaller connector for the top and two of the guide rails for the sides. Then glue everything together as a four piece stack. It takes me about a minute with a 40W CO2 tube to laser cut everything out vice 23 minutes 3D printing with a 0.3mm nozzle. I uploaded my Lightburn file I did on the fly editing and the exported SVG file for those of you who don't use Lightburn.
