Brier Island Lighthouse

<p>This Lighthouse is based on the <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2687021">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2687021</a> model and inspired on a real and beautiful lighthouse in Nova Scotia, Canada.</p> <p>I remixed the original model by splitting in several parts so it can be printed in different colors.</p> <p>Note that this model color height does not honor original lighthouse. For reference please see: <a href="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2c/Brier_Island_Lighthouse_%281%29.jpg">https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2c/Brier_Island_Lighthouse_%281%29.jpg</a></p> <p>I really enjoyed building this model, hope you too!</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>The total print time was around 18 hours, in my case by file:<br/> Building Base: 10 hs.<br/> Building Top: 2 hs.<br/> Light: 0.5 hs.<br/> Door: 0.5 hs.<br/> Fence: 1 hs.<br/> Roof: 2.25 hs.<br/> Platform: 1 hs.</p> <p>Color switch can be added to the g-code file at the height you wish, in my model I used:<br/> Building Base:<br/> 46.4<br/> 79.2<br/> 110.2<br/> 141.2<br/> Building Top:<br/> 29.00</p> <p>Some parts have guides to enable a better reference positioning; some to be glued &amp; some to fit by pressure.</p> <p>Hollow structure allows for a lamp placement and hopefully a rotating mechanism with a mirror.</p> <p>Before assembly it´s a good idea to mark the parts so they fit perfectly. Although the design is symmetrical there are subtle differences in the width of the walls.</p> <p>The two building parts are meant to be glued together.<br/> As for the upper platform it can be removed. for lamp mechanism placement.</p> <p>Added the light through an extravagant mechanism made for some spare components I had around. Needed this little touch :)</p> <p>I don´t expect anyone to build it tough.<br/> Used a motor scrapped from an old hard drive, a 3V 1W Led, a switch, LiPO battery, LiPO charger.</p>
