We just reached the 50-follower mark and we're thrilled - thank you all for your support! To celebrate, I wanted to create something special, so I designed a briefcase filled with cash (let's imagine that every bill is a $50 note). Simply print one of the top and either bottomWCash.stl or bottom.stl, snap them together, and you're done. If this kind of thing excites you, be sure to follow us on Twitter and join our discussion on Facebook. We'd love to have you on board! UPDATE: I'm back home now with access to my printer, and upon printing, I noticed that the handle was a bit too small for figures to hold the case comfortably, so I tweaked it a bit, resulting in V2 versions of the bottom and bottom with cash. The original files are still available, but I wouldn't recommend printing them unless you're okay with tiny handles. Post-Printing The good news is that the two pieces fit together perfectly and form a working hinge, although they do require some minor cleanup. When printing the "top" model, there's usually a bit of droopy plastic underneath the pegs, which makes sense since it doesn't have any support. Use a sharp knife to clean this off before attempting to snap the parts together. Also, be sure to tidy up the receiving end of the hinge. I find that inserting one end into the bottom model, closing the case, and pressing the two parts together gives the best results. If you've cleaned things up, they should fit together smoothly; if not, it's easy to break the hinge. Don't worry - this is a quick print, so just reprint if needed. Enjoy!
