Bridging Test
thingiverse
I modeled the bridging test with inspiration from "How far can you BRIDGE?" by palatis. There are two STL files available - one designed for smaller printers and another for larger ones. The small file tests 10 cm of maximum bridging capability and has a maximum width of 110 mm. In contrast, the large file pushes the limits to 16 cm of maximum bridging distance with a maximum width of 170 mm. To ensure successful printing, I recommend using raft or brim support. If the print fails on supports, abort the process immediately as it will not bridge well. Similarly, if the print fails on bridges, there's no point in continuing and you should stop the print right away.
With this file you will be able to print Bridging Test with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Bridging Test.
