Bridging Test
thingiverse
Reinventing the wheel, yet again. The entire structure is a mere 3 mm thick and each support beam measures just 1 mm wide and 0.8mm deep, requiring approximately four passes. The smaller one expands from 5mm to 50mm in 5mm increments; the larger model reaches up to 75mm. Struggling with my print bed has delayed successful testing, but I plan to share images soon. UPDATE: After resolving the issues with my print bed and modifying the test models, they now feature slightly rounded edges to reduce travel shock. Each support beam is only 0.4mm deep, requiring three to four passes per model. To my surprise, my printer can bridge gaps up to 75mm when needed. With this success, I'm no longer concerned about infill density.
