Bridgeport Milling Macine Table Covers
thingiverse
This design is intended for table covers on a Bridgeport-style milling machine. Varying widths can be combined to accommodate different table dimensions. After printing the cover, create four ribs (pegs) that fit into the underlying slots. Be aware that the middle slot may not perfectly match your machine; in this case, omitting the middle rib is acceptable. The OpenSCAD source file includes a variable "offsets" that can be adjusted to suit your table spacing. The pegs should be a snug fit within the slots. If the corners of your printed ribs are not perfectly flat, sand them down before attaching with superglue (cyanoacrylate glue). When printing, it is recommended to face the cover upwards and refrain from using supports. A gap of approximately 1/2 inch allows for easy bridging across the slot area, making this feasible for most printers.
