I'm a huge fan of the design on those pieces from thingiverse.com, but I think the bridge piece would really benefit from bkubicek's style being applied to it. You can print this model with or without supports; it's right at that boundary. If you want a cleaner look, go for it – no judgment here! By the way, bkubicek's pieces are all 20mm scale, but I scaled down the bridge piece to 16mm square so that I could easily print off the entire board (which is still in development).
