Bridge
thingiverse
This bridge was completely designed using research, making it a testable structure that leverages an arch and cables for added strength. Use 1.75mm filament for the cables and print it on its side, following instructions found in the below sections. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.1 or 0.2 Infill: 50 Notes: Print on side (on one of the arches). One side is not perfectly level and so, depending on slicer settings, it may not print with first layer no matter how it's oriented. This didn't cause any problems for me though; I'll fix this soon. Post-Printing Step 1 Remove from printer and slide 1.75mm filament through a hole in an arch. Slide through corresponding hole in road. Cut to size, leaving a small amount of extra filament on both sides. Repeat this process for all holes, then secure each one in place by melting the excess with a soldering iron after each one.
