Brickwall Diorama Planter
youmagine
I wanted a unique planter for my desert rose (adenium obesum), so I decided to create something from scratch. Before long, things got completely out of control...\n\nThis is a miniature scene depicting a neglected, dimly lit alleyway on an obscure street. Some people might recognize John Carpenter's film "They Live," which inspired the billboards. If you're not fond of them, feel free to remove them - they're optional.\nThe streetlight actually functions. Inside it, a golden 5mm LED is connected in parallel to a 1.5F goldcap capacitor. It can be recharged using a 5V smartphone power bank. The micro USB port is located on the backside. I added a 100 Ohm resistor (in series with the LED) to protect it from damage. With a 10-second charge, the LED will remain lit for approximately 15 minutes.\n\nThe lamp, posts, billboards, manhole cover, and glass are printed at a layer height of 0.1mm. I recommend using 0.2mm for the rest. To achieve a worn, grimy look, apply dark colors with a drybrush technique. The planter, posts, and lamp will require support during printing.
