Brick W Dog Paw Print (VCU_3D_3664)
sketchfab
The brick bearing a distinctive canine paw print was meticulously 3D scanned on June 15, 2018, using a Go!Scan 50 at James Madison's historic Montpelier estate. At the time, Dr. Matthew Reeves had recently taken over as director of archaeology and proudly displayed this unusual artifact on his desk. Although its precise origin remains unknown, it is unlikely to be from Montpelier itself. It may instead have been sourced from nearby Williamsburg, Virginia, a place where Dr. Reeves' predecessor had previously worked. This remarkable relic was generously provided by James Madison's Montpelier.
