Brice Prairie Vessel Description The vessel showcases closely spaced, vertical tool trails all around its surface (Boszhardt 1994: 231). Lip Decorations Feature Continual Tool Notching Continuous tool notching is always located on the interior lip of the vessel. The notches may be oriented either perpendicular or oblique to the left or right (228). Oneota Cultural Affiliation The Oneota culture produced this vessel, specifically from the La Crosse Locality. Late Prehistoric Period and Brice Prairie Phase This artifact dates back to the Late Prehistoric Period, within the Brice Prairie Phase, spanning A.D. 1300-1400. Pammel Creek Site Details It was discovered at the Pammel Creek site, designated as 47LC61. Feature Identification The artifact originated from Feature 202.
