Brian's Parameter-ized Clock
thingiverse
The Thingiverse Customizer is being particularly uncooperative today. I'm baffled as to why it's rendering my object with distorted tickmarks for hours and minutes of the day. I'll keep pounding away, trying to figure out what's going on, but until then *please download the OpenSCAD file and customize to your heart's content*, as it works perfectly fine. I recently spent some time perfecting my 3D printing time-lapse recordings (_for more detail see:_ [Integrating my 3D Printer into my Home Automation](https://blog.briancmoses.com/2019/01/integrating-my-3d-printer-into-my-home-automation.html)) and realized I needed an analog clock in my videos to give viewers a clear idea of the time that passes during a print. Rather than buying a clock, I decided to design one myself! I purchased some clock components from Amazon (_https://amzn.to/2GARbtE_) and designed a clock around the gearbox I bought along with other design elements. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, and [my first video looked good enough](https://twitter.com/briancmoses/status/1093195225479200769) that designing it in OpenSCAD made sense to take the next step and turn it into a customizer!
