The Beer Barrel was a mainstay of British breweries in the past, serving as a mobile showcase for their products. Many breweries relied on these iconic vehicles to transport and display their wares, and I distinctly recall seeing them in action during my youth in the 1960s. To this day, Courage Brewery maintains one such barrel at its headquarters in southern England, where it remains a testament to the company's rich history. Typically, four majestic Shire Horses were tasked with pulling these massive wagons, their strength and endurance allowing them to navigate even the most challenging terrain.
