A detailed, 3D model of a vintage metal nameplate adorns its base, lifted directly from a 1930s-era movie projector arc lamp. The Brenkert Light Projection Company of Detroit also manufactured the Brenograph effects projector in the 1920's, which was used to create clouds and stereoscopic 3D effects in the atmospheric movie palaces of that era. A Brenograph was part of the original equipment found in the projection booth at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre when it opened its doors in 1927. The model was meticulously produced using Photoscan from 30 precise photos taken with a Nikon D5100 camera.
