Breed Customizable 4x Leash Hook
thingiverse
This project began as a need for a hook near the door to hang the dog leash, keys and a "paw towel." The creator has a pug named Doughnut and wanted to create a silhouette of the breed on the hook. They decided to use the Makerbot customizer app, which would allow other dog owners to choose their own breeds. To make the silhouettes, they used dnewman's Inkscape to OpenSCAD converter. The creator is new to OpenSCAD and had only made a customizable tube before starting this project. They found the Inkscape to OpenSCAD converter while searching for a way to draw silhouettes. The hook has options for various dog breeds, including beagle, boston, boxer, bull, chihuahua, dachshund, doberman, german, golden, greyhound, lab, pomeranian, poodle, pug, rottweiler, schnauzer, springer, and yorkshire. To use the customizer app, select a breed from the drop-down menu. There will be no rendered object until a breed is chosen. Once a breed is selected, create an .STL file and enjoy your personalized dog hook. The creator plans to add more breeds at random or upon request.
