Breastplate - Half Plate Armor for Miniature Customization
thingiverse
Hey folks, just three parts to help you customize your miniatures with ease. Extra thick designs ensure maximum compatibility with various figures. Drawing inspiration from historic Milanese armor, these pieces feature high waist and large shoulder elements, along with subtle folds that add depth. To adapt them using Blender 2.8+, follow this straightforward process: 1. Load your miniature into the software alongside the armor parts. 2. Position them roughly in place, taking note of their overall layout. 3. Scale the armor pieces to achieve a seamless fit, even if some parts protrude slightly – don't worry about minor imperfections at this stage. 4. Use the sculpting tools, particularly the elastic deform brush, to smooth out any excess material that's bulging from the original miniature. 5. Give your custom armor a polished finish with further adjustments using the elastic deform tool. Customizing your miniatures typically takes under five minutes, even for more intricate designs!
