Breakaway Clasp

Breakaway Clasp

thingiverse

This design is specifically tailored for use with 550 paracord. To put it into action, carefully remove the last couple of inches of the paracord and secure it with a knot that keeps the clasp firmly in place. If you don't remove this portion of the paracord, the knot will be too large to fit snugly inside the clasp. It takes around 20 pounds of force to separate the two pieces, ensuring the clasp won't come loose at random but can be easily released when needed. This design is printed in a combination of ABS and PLA materials. To ensure proper bed adhesion, use either a raft or brim in your print settings. Version 2 has made some significant improvements. The inner clasp thickness has been increased to prevent the tabs from breaking off as quickly as before.
