Bread slicer guide
thingiverse
A compact bread slicer designed for standard printing beds, boasting outside dimensions of 200X155X137mm. The slots are precisely 3mm wide, accommodating any kitchen knife with ease. Although it may not accommodate a full loaf, simply cutting half the loaf in two and removing the slices before cutting the other half proves to be an efficient solution. For optimal results, consider using at least 4 shell layers when printing with 10% infill to prevent your knife from wearing down the base prematurely. Version 5 features a solid base and back, providing stability and durability. In contrast, Version 7 incorporates voids in the bottom and back, aiming to reduce material usage and print time, but ultimately falls short due to the solid wall infill surrounding these voids. While aesthetically pleasing, this design compromise fails to yield significant benefits.
