Bread Lame

A bread lame is a knife/razor tool used for scoring loaves and baguettes prior to baking in the oven. This item requires no support during printing. For more information on lames, visit http://www.gyrobot.co.uk or https://www.facebook.com/gyrobotuk. To print a lame without support, choose your desired body, safety guard, and handle parts. Infill the body at high levels for added strength. To enhance easy bridging of gaps in the handle's octagonal hole, rotate the part or adjust infill angles. You can use Gyrobot's Lame handle with a logo or opt for one without. To assemble, insert the body into the handle based on your printer calibration requirements, which may necessitate gluing or shaving down the size of the body. The body has a split line for compression to aid insertion into the handle. Attach the razor blade in the preferred curved or straight position, following the images provided. Bend the blade gently by squeezing its ends with care. The safety guard slides onto the blade using its natural spring for smooth attachment and should click into place once fully attached. Exercise caution when handling this sharp device, as razor blades are extremely dangerous. Please feel free to share any lame jokes while using your new tool!
