The BRDM-1, an amphibious armored scout car, was employed by Russia and the former Soviet Union. Manufactured from 1959 to 1966, approximately 10,000 units were produced with less than 600 remaining in reserve across several countries. This conventional 4x4 vehicle features a welded steel chassis, front-mounted engine, and rear crew compartment. The driver sits on the left while the commander is seated to his right; however, it lacks NBC protection and night vision equipment. A single white light searchlight is positioned on the driver's side. The GAZ-40PB engine, based on a US Dodge truck engine, powers the vehicle through a 4x4 manual transmission with one reverse gear and four forward gears. Unique features include lowerable belly wheels for enhanced off-road performance and adjustable tire pressure. The BRDM-1 is fully amphibious, utilizing a water-jet propelled by a rear-mounted four-bladed propeller covered by an armored shutter when on land. Armed with a 7.62mm SGMB machine gun and carrying 1,250 rounds of ammunition, some versions also feature a 12.7mm DShKM heavy machine gun on the roof and a 7.62mm gun at the rear. The 3D model is rigged for animation, with four detailed resolutions available in MAX format, requiring 3DMax software. Non-rigged versions are also offered in various polygon configurations, including 3 and 4 point polygons, and include group information for separate parts such as wheels, hatches, and spotlight. The model is UV mapped with a desert camo texture provided at 2048x2048 pixels.
