The mechanical connection between the motor and accessory on our Braun stick mixer snapped. A replacement part appears to be available on eBay, but it costs a substantial portion of the price of the mixer! My hopes were lifted when I saw the designs at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:112547 http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:633453 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1019768, but unfortunately, our mixer's coupling is unique so I created a custom design in OpenSCAD. This printed version fits snugly, we'll see how it holds up over time. Take a look at those other designs if your coupling differs from this one. You can watch the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Un9doieNy8 to learn how to remove the existing coupling (although the repair in that video isn't relevant to our situation). Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Mendel90 Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 95% Notes: For a tight fit on the motor side of the mixer and an easy slide onto the accessory side, adjust the SCAD source or possibly tweak the slicing stage with small adjustments to flow rate or XY size compensation. Use high infill for maximum strength. When attaching the accessory to the motor body, you may need to manually rotate the drive shaft a little to ease insertion (this is one area where my coupling design can be improved).
