Brasscraft Shutoff Valve Handle Grip
thingiverse
I created this due to having stuck shut-off valves in my home that are made of plastic, which makes them quite stubborn to turn without breaking the handle. I opted to craft a small sleeve to facilitate turning with more even force instead of attempting to turn it myself and potentially damaging the valve. The sleeve features an 8mm hex cylinder for added convenience, allowing users to employ a socket if needed; however, I haven't had the chance to test its effectiveness as mine turned easily by hand. Although the fit isn't extremely snug, this was intentional due to potential variations in shutoff valve handles across different types and models. Please note that I'm not a licensed plumber, nor am I qualified to provide plumbing services. If you have any concerns regarding your home's plumbing, it is crucial to contact a professional plumber for assistance. Nevertheless, if you're familiar with DIY projects and plumbing basics, this solution may be useful in a pinch.
