Brass Barrel Iron Sight/Muzzle Guard

Brass Barrel Iron Sight/Muzzle Guard

thingiverse

I just created my very first design, and all I wanted was a clear view down the sight of my brass-barreled Marshmallow Blaster. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a 3D printer, so I won't be able to test it until someone sends me a printed copy. The rounded tip serves as a protective barrier against sharp metal edges on extended brass barrels, while the post acts as a sight for the sometimes hard-to-see brass muzzle. I made the post quite tall to suit my needs, but it can easily be sanded or cut down to size. Update July 15th, 2017, 1:30 pm CST: I received the printed part courtesy of Thomas's Hub in Fort Worth, Texas. Unfortunately, it's a bit too small for 9/16-inch brass tubing, but I think it will fit snugly on 17/32-inch tubes. However, since I don't have any 17/32-inch tubes to verify this with, I've uploaded an updated file designed specifically for 9/16-inch tubes. Update July 14th, 2017, 11:25 pm CST: I realized my apartment is quite dimly lit and that I had mis-measured the design. The previous version would be too small for 9/16-inch brass tubing. So, I've updated the file to ensure it's the right size. Unfortunately, without access to a 3D printer, I still haven't been able to test this design, but it should work... Sorry to the three who downloaded it before I caught my mistake.
