Branchlike Lamp Shade
thingiverse
Thrilled about my brand new 3D printer, I set out to craft my very first design. A standing lamp shade inspired by trees, I aimed to create a multitude of branches wrapping around the lamp in a captivating display. I encountered an unexpected setback when I printed the base upside down, but that didn't deter me from moving forward. The printing process took some time, with 52 hours needed for the shade using 16mm filament and 10% infill. In contrast, the base required only 12 hours to print using 20mm filament. A crucial consideration when assembling this lamp is ensuring the hole size for the E27 fitting meets your specific needs. Measuring 42 mm in diameter, it should accommodate most standard light fixtures. However, please verify that the lamp itself can pass through the shade's bottom opening without any issues. If you require an alternative hole size, kindly let me know and I'll be happy to provide an updated STL file for your reference. Now, I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this design! Have a great time exploring its potential!
