Brain support stand with built in battery and switch
thingiverse
I built this stand based on the design by tonda (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2732800) which I liked but when printed did not assemble properly. So I re-designed tonda's idea adding: 1) a built in battery compartment 2) threaded supports that fit the base 3) cone-shaped support feeds that are useful for wrapping wires around If I had to re-do this again - I would have used 4 leds instead of 3 - as these should support the brain better. I place the .scad files here for anyone who wants to modify this design. Add these clips to the battery holder: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HRRRW58/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GN3PN46/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used this switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PYW94WN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The base can be printed without supports - I found flipping the support rods and adding a raft kept the threaded parts perfect and improved the small gap for the led light. The .stl files for the brain are found in djholt's project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:620846 I found these printed best after rotating 90 degrees and allowing only supports from the base.
