I modified the Brain Slug Improved model to give it more character. The original design was too static, so I adjusted the legs to create a more fluid motion and added a slime-like texture. I also curved the antennas to give them a more dynamic shape and added an iris that looks off to the right, making the model seem more alive. When printing at 200 Microns, I sanded down the model to smooth out any imperfections and painted it with a white primer and paint in one coat, which helped hide some of the blemishes. Looking back, priming first would have been a better option before painting it white. After the white paint dried, I masked off the eye ball and used neon green road marker paint to create a vibrant effect. I applied multiple thin coats until I achieved the desired finish. Once that layer dried, I filled in the iris with a painter's marker and sealed the model with a gloss spray paint, which gave it a slimy appearance. Working with what I had on hand, I'm happy with the results - an 7/10 in my book, considering this was my first time painting a model.
