Brain Planter
myminifactory
Hey everyone! Check out this Brain Planter design that's super easy to print - just follow the steps in the description. The brain stem/cerebellum serves as a pot.\r\nMy ivy has been thriving under indirect sunlight at my window.\r\nThe original anatomy model is from Versal on Sketchfab, heavily remixed.\r\nI also included a bottom planter with little pegs to keep the lid in place, and an option without pegs.\r\nIt would be awesome to see someone plant moss-like and watch as the plant fills in and takes the shape of the exterior container.\r\nThis design looks more complicated than it is. The print top needs basic supports - I did about 70% overhang in Cura, just areas touching the build plate, and that worked great\r\nThe 3D files are scaled to fit each other perfectly, so if you need to down-size one, make sure to down size the other by the same percent.\r\nAfter printing, glue the two hemispheres together. Then put soil in the brainstem bottom, add seeds or a plant and water it.\r\nFinally, place the top on and arrange the leaves periodically to fit through the brain crevices
