Braille Pill Box

I was thinking of contributing to the ‘Envision the Future Contest' and brainstorming ways I can help the blind navigate their daily lives. By chance, I visited a friend's home where one child was blind, and through conversation, I grasped a fundamental challenge they faced. The kid could accomplish most tasks independently but consistently asked his mom for assistance in taking his pills, relying heavily on her for this simple task. I decided to design a Braille-compatible pill box for the kid. To make it user-friendly, I created a pill box with seven compartments, each corresponding to a day of the week, enabling the person to identify and organize their medication accordingly. For ease of use, I've included only the first three letters of the day on the lid (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). This way, individuals can read the label and select the correct compartment without needing additional space for full-day names. Future Enhancements: 1. I plan to incorporate three levels within each day's compartment, allowing users to categorize their medication based on time of administration. 2. I envision creating a stand that will enable users to store and organize all pill boxes together in an efficient manner. I appreciate any feedback or suggestions regarding the design or implementation. Your input is invaluable, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
