This project was created by 6th-grade students at Hauser Jr. High, Maggie and Lara. It's a tactile matching game designed for visually impaired students like themselves. Players: The game can be played by one to three visually impaired students simultaneously. One to three sighted students are also welcome to assist as judges once the game is underway. Objective: The goal of this game is to develop skills in both braille identification and matching. Step 1: A visually impaired player will feel a braille game chip from the top row, then place it nearby for reference. Step 2: With the other chips still feeling intact, the visually impaired student will choose a new braille game chip from the bottom row, attempting to find its match among the previously selected chips. Step 3: Once all the game chips have been matched or exhausted, sighted players examine the matched cards and confirm that the icons on top align correctly. Winning Conditions: The player with the most successful matches wins. If multiple players achieve an equal number of matches, the outcome is a tie.
