A small cat, comprised of three distinct pieces that perfectly fit together, features one braille letter on each piece, ultimately spelling out "CAT" when assembled. The idea behind this creative project was generously provided by the ingenious "Fittle Fish" Designer. I had the pleasure of creating this engaging model to participate in the Remix Challenge! Here are the print settings I employed: Printer: CTC DualHead Printer Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.20mm Infill: 15% Important Notes: Although I haven't personally printed this design, it should work seamlessly with these settings. Please exercise your own judgment when printing. Post-Printing Instructions: After the print is complete, you may need to carefully clean up the pegs and holes if supports were used in the process. I typically use an X-Acto knife for this task. Designing This Project Took 5 Hours To create this intricate cat model, I utilized 3D Builder (on Windows 10) to emboss a basic cat shape onto a rectangle, then saved it as an STL file and loaded it into 123D Design. Next, I carefully crafted cubes of varying sizes and shapes to remove excess material, using the embossed cat as a template. I then looked up a braille key and used it to create "CAT" in braille, merging it onto the cat. After that, I divided the cat into three pieces and added a triangle nob/hole on one side and a circle nob/hole on the other. Although my design process may not be the most efficient, taking approximately 5 hours to complete, it ultimately resulted in this clever cat model!
