Braiding star for friendship band/shoelaces and more
thingiverse
I'm excited to share my remix of a braiding star, which I found on Thingiverse. It's my first design posted here, and I created it because my students needed a braiding star, but the thicker version would have taken too long to print one for each student. I also improved the original model by adding arrows in the print file that guide where the next thread should be moved from. This will make it easier to print. I hope people enjoy braiding as much as I do! When I was a kid, we made wristbands by cutting a circle with eight side cuts out of cardboard and then braided them together. It worked most of the time, but sometimes the threads would get tangled up in the middle hole if you pulled too hard to make it even and perfect. That's why I think PLA is better for this project - it will last longer!
